The company was founded in 1993 by Irwin D. Simon. In 1999, the HJ Heinz Company acquired a 19.5% stake in the company, but sold its entire stake in 2005.
In mid-2015, Hain Celestial took over the Austrian soy milk manufacturer Mona (brands Joya and Happy Soya ), and at the end of 2015 the company Orchard House Foods , the largest British manufacturer of fresh fruit products, smoothies and not-from- concentrate juices with around 1,000 employees and annual sales of around £ 40-50 million .
