Hakala (singer)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hakala , actually Nihad Fetić (* 1966 in Zenica , Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian singer. His songs are mainly heard from people from Bosnia , Croatia and Serbia . Hakalas music style is the Narodna muzika (in German: folk music) and the modern turbo folk associate.

Life

The beginning of Hakala's musical career can be traced back to 1984, when he joined the Ričice cultural community from Zenica and formed a band called ZOV with five people from the same cultural association . As the front singer of the group ZOV , he and his band members appeared as an amateur group in numerous restaurants and discos in Zenica, but did not achieve much success.

Shortly after the outbreak of the Bosnian War in 1992, Fetić temporarily emigrated to Germany. In the same year he was signed by the HALIX company and recorded his first album Skitnica velegradskih ulica , which came out in 1993 and was very successful. In particular, the songs Skitnica velegradski ulica , Umri u samoći and Sta ću kad je volim initially helped him to great popularity in Bosnia and are still his most successful songs together with the song Kafandžija (1994). A short time later, his songs also became big hits in Serbia, which led to some Serbian musicians re-recording these songs themselves, such as Aca Lukas , who reinterpreted the song Umri u samoći on his 1998 album .

In 1994 Hakala's second album was released under the title Ja sam te volio , which confirmed the success of his first album. Especially with the songs Kafandžija and Ja sam te volio , he was again able to record great successes in Bosnia and Serbia. Because of its great success, the song Kafandžija has been regarded as his "identity card" , so to speak. A year later he switched to the Bosnian record company INTAKT Records and moved back to Zenica after the end of the Bosnian War, but then initially worked in Sarajevo , where he released another five albums by 2005.

In 2005 he switched to the record company VIP Productions in Bijeljina for a year , where he recorded two more albums under the titles 100% (“Sto posto”) and another without a main title (2007). After founding the new big record company and the Bosnian channel OTV Valentino of the same name , Hakala moved there in mid-2008 and is currently under contract with Valentino Records . He has recorded two albums under Valentino Records : Dar mar (2010) and Žaoka (2012).

Others

Nihad Fetić has been married since 1991 and has three daughters with his wife.

In addition to the Western Balkans , Hakala also regularly holds concerts in Slovenia , Germany , Austria and Switzerland , as there are many Bosnian migrants in these countries who hear his songs.
