Daniel Schlang

Daniel Schlang (born March 19, 1991 ) is a German cyclist in the BMX discipline .

Daniel Schlang lives in Heusweiler , is a member of the RSC Cottbus and is part of the BMX Air Team . He studies sport and management in Potsdam .

Schlang was already successful as a junior. In 2007 he was runner-up and also won a Bundesliga race in Herzogenaurach . In 2008 he was first in the national rankings, became champion in the cruiser and 20 "class as well as runner-up in the junior Bundesliga. First races at international championships followed. Schlang reached the semi-finals at the junior European championships in Zwolle and Fredericia and accepted in the Junior World Championship in Taiyuan . In 2009 he repeated both successes in the Junior Championships, was again first in the Bundesliga and also won the title in the Junior Bundesliga. At the European Junior Cruiser Championship, Schlang was fifth, in Dessel sixth and in Eleventh in the overall ranking and reached the semi-finals at the European Championships in Zwolle, Klatovy , Creazzo , Dessel, Cheddar and Fredericia.

In 2009, Schlang also took part in an international men's Supercross World Cup race for the first time in Copenhagen . Participation in Madrid followed in 2010 and again in Copenhagen. In Plessa he became German champion and won the Bundesliga race in Weilheim in Upper Bavaria , came second in Bremen and third in Ingersheim . At the European Championships in Haaksbergen in 2011 he was 34th, at the World Championships in Copenhagen 29th. Less successful were Schlangs performances at the European Championships in Orléans and the World Championships in Birmingham , where he was 73rd and 56th. For the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , Schlang is nominated as a substitute driver behind Maik Baier and Luis Brethauer .

Schlang is the father of a son.
