Hal Robson

Harold "Hal" Robson (born August 16, 1911 in Mount Dennis , Ontario , Canada , † July 2, 1996 in San Bernardino , California ) was an American racing driver of Canadian origin.

Career

Robson was born in Canada. He began his career with numerous starts and victories in smaller races, before starting in 15 races for the AAA National Series between 1940 and 1953 . He achieved a victory in Dayton in 1946 .

Between 1946 and 1948 he started three times in the Indianapolis 500 mile race, but could not finish any of the races. In 1949 and 1953 he failed to qualify. George Robson , the 1946 winner was his brother. After retiring from racing in 1955, he worked as a mechanic.
