The apartments and townhouses are primarily located on Surbiton Road , Winchester Road , Ruthven Road and Cecelio Avenue . As a result, real estate prices have risen sharply.

Naming

The area was named Half Way Tree in 1866. At that time, there was a large tree in what is now the central square on Half Way Road. This was an important meeting point for travelers and traders who came to Kingston or wanted to move to Spanish Town , St. Thomas or St. Mary . The tree no longer exists today, but the square is still an important hub for traders.

Industry and Commerce

Half Way Tree is home to the most famous squares and shopping malls, such as B. Twin Gates, Mall Plaza, Tropical Plaza, Kings Plaza, Lane Plaza, or the Pavilion Mall, in Kingston. The area is one of the most sought-after destinations for business travelers due to its proximity to downtown and the New Kingston Business District. The National Relief Organization estimates that there are 250,000 commuters in Half Way Three in one working day. Half Way Tree is the headquarters of the Kingston Post Office. The commercial areas are in the center of the district, while the residential areas are concentrated on the outer shoulder.
