Founder Brigitte Baldinger's goal was to give oriental dance a neutral press platform and to enable a broad exchange of information.
Ulrike Mimus (artist name Enussah, organizer of trade fairs for oriental dance and dance studio director, lecturer and trainer) has been the editor of Halima magazine since July 2016.
Halima Award
The founder of Halima Magazine, Brigitte Baldinger, first launched the Halima Award in 1998, which has since been presented every two years as part of a charity gala in the town hall in Fürth . Prize winners are people who, through their dance, their organization, their lessons, their photographs or in any other way, brought oriental dance “forward” in an outstanding way.
For the first time, a five-person jury was appointed for May 5, 2018 , which, in addition to its own proposals, also considers proposals from the "Oriental scene" and decides on the award of the prize. Under the direction of the new editor and dancer Enussah, the organizer Asmahan El Zein , the artist Eliana Hofmann, the photographer and organizer André Elbing and the lecturer Said el Amir are part of this jury.
