The Halle aux fromages (German cheese hall ) in Coulommiers , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in 1887. The market hall on Cours Gambetta is on the edge of the historic old town.

The building was built because trade increased enormously in the second half of the 19th century and the old market hall had become too small. The name Käsehalle comes from the fact that mainly dairy products such as the locally produced cheese Coulommiers were sold.
