Hallelujah the Hills is an American indie rock band from Boston , Massachusetts that was formed in 2005. They have been named "One of the Most Precious Possessions of Boston Pop" by the Boston Phoenix and received a 3-1 / 2-star rating for their debut from Rolling Stone Magazine . Pitchfork Media praises their "talent for crafting fist-stretching hymns with absurd heaps of words"

The band was signed by Misra Records in 2006 and released their first two albums there. They went with Silver Jews on tour, wrote a song with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Co in collaboration with the author Jonathan Lethem , made together with Titus Andronicus , the The monitor tour and had a live performance of Chevy Chase was interrupted . Their third album, No One Knows What Happens Next , which they funded with a successful Kickstarter project, was rated by The Weekly Dig as "a bold move" according to Prefix Magazine and a "wonderful listen from start to finish" .

In May 2013 the band released a collection of B-sides , non-album tracks and rarities as Portrait of the Artist as a Young Trashcan . In a recent profile of the Boston Herald , the band was highlighted for their latest turn in writing. It takes genius to write a great song about writing a song. So how is it Hallelujah The Hills has done it twice in two years? ( Like : It takes genius to write a great song about writing a song. So how did Hallelujah The Hills do it twice in two years? ).
