The Pyongyang Indoor Stadium (평양 체육관) is a gym in the North Korean capital, Pyongyang . It has space for 20,010 spectators and was opened in April 1973. In addition to various sporting events, there are also cultural events.
history
The indoor arena was officially opened in April 1973 and offers numerous leisure activities for the residents of Pyongyang, such as: B. badminton or gymnastics . A total of 18 sports are offered. Numerous cultural events also take place. The building is four floors high and has a dedicated area for the country's executives. In 2013 the facility was extensively renovated.
The building is located in the Chung-guyŏk ( Potongmun-dong ) district on Chollima Street , in the immediate vicinity is the Pyongyang ice rink .
