The Hi-Verlag is publisher of the local weekly newspaper HELLO whose distribution area is located in Munich's east and southeast. It is based in Haar near Munich. The weekly circulation amounts to 323,814 copies with five district editions and two weekend editions, which are distributed free of charge.

history

Hallo-Verlag was founded by Karl Dressel on March 27, 1968 with the aim of informing citizens about events in their districts and communities in the east of Munich. At first the newspaper appeared exclusively in Waldtrudering. Hallo was the first medium that appeared in the new Munich satellite town of Neuperlach, which was built in the 1970s. The newspaper has been reporting on events there since the construction of the Messestadt-Riem district began. Hallo has been financed exclusively through advertisements since it was founded. The publishing house has belonged to the Münchner Merkur newspaper group since 1998 and is also a member of the Südbayern advertising group and the Federal Association of German Advertising Papers .
