Hallo München is a free, advertising-financed city newspaper for the Bavarian capital Munich and its neighborhoods . The tabloid paper appears on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The newspaper, which belongs to the Münchner Merkur / tz media group , is distributed throughout the city. The total print run is just under a million copies. In addition to “Munich Stories”, the focus of the reporting is primarily on the events in the city districts. Portraits of Munich personalities , detailed interviews and comprehensive reports from the district committees (cf. Stadtbezirke München ), topics that are moving about the residents of the neighborhoods and ( construction ) projects planned in the districts are offered .

history

In March 2006 the first issue of Hallo München was published. Mike Eder, former local manager of the Münchner Abendzeitung , was responsible as the founding editor . In five editions, households in the south, south-west, east, north and center of Munich were reached. The city newspaper gained national recognition in 2013 in connection with the allocation of press seats in the NSU process .
