Hallo Monaco is the debut album by the German rapper Capo . It was released on October 4, 2013 on the independent label Hitmonks.

content

On the album there are party songs ( champagne for everyone , birthday ), but also deep songs ( until I'm free , hard time ). In addition, the album also contains music that is very South American ( Mein Film , Ritz Carlton , Hater , Erzähl ma ' ). An interview with Focus magazine was published on the day the album was released . In it, Capo explained that it is not contradicting to have done a collaboration with Cro: “Not really at all. I think I'm a very relaxed guy and everyone in Germany is always so stiff. A lot of people say: 'Hey that guy and you, that doesn't fit at all', but in the USA an undercover street gangster rapper also does a song with Justin Bieber and people accept it. They are much more relaxed about it. People in Germany are tense and I don't understand that. It's also not about whether the type suits me. He shouldn't be my friend or share his whole life with me. It was a collaboration for the song and we harmonized very well. ”He also commented on his personal favorites on the album:“ I am currently listening to 'Champagne for Everyone'. Several videos for the album were released in the run-up to the release. Videos appeared for the songs Mein Film , Rohdiamant , Champagner für alle and a split video for the single Erzähl 'ma / Hater , which was released on August 18th. Hallo Monaco reached number 21 in the German album charts. The album reached number 40 in Austria and number 28 in Switzerland. The album stayed in the charts for a week in all three countries.
