Hamburg route
The Hamburg route , as Hamburg line or 1-line referred to was a shipping line that the Finnmark in northern Norway with Hamburg association.
It was founded in 1870 and was used to transport guano from Finnmark to Hamburg. The line operated as a combined route and also carried passengers. A trip took three weeks. In the north of Norway, the ports of Gjesvær , Kjelvik , Honningsvåg and Repvåg were served. The route was in operation at least until the 1930s.
One of the ships used was the Bleik steamship .
