Hameur Bouazza (born February 22, 1985 in Évry , France ) is a former Algerian football player . In addition to Algerian citizenship, he also has French citizenship .
Career
society
The Algerian winger moved from France to the youth department of Watford FC in 2002 , where he finally made his professional debut in the 2003/04 season. At the end of this season Watford rose from the third to the English second division. Bouazza mainly acted as a wild card but hardly scored any goals. In October 2005 he moved on loan to third division club Swindon Town , which should relegate to fourth division this season.
Back in Watford, he was the top scorer of his team in the 2006/07 season with just seven goals. So Bouazza could not prevent the last place in the table and the associated relegation of Watford FC . He then moved in August 2007 for six million euros to Fulham , who had barely escaped relegation in the previous season, and signed a contract there until 2011. Depending on Fulham's performance in the league and the number of Bouazzas appearances, could be up 1.5 million more euros are due. On August 18, 2009 Bouazza moved to the Turkish first division club Sivasspor . However, he only played one game and promptly announced his contract termination a few days later. Shortly thereafter, Blackpool FC signed him.
On April 19, 2011, he moved to the English second division club Millwall and signed a contract until 2013.
After only one season it was announced that Bouazza would leave the club again. Soon after, on June 23, 2012, he signed a contract with the Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia . There he did not play a single league game and finally moved to Racing Santander in the summer of 2012 . A year later he went to ES Sahel near Tunisia . Then he played briefly at FC Tours and FC Fleury in France and ended his active career there in summer 2018.
National team
In October 2006, the Algerian Football Association first contacted Bouazza and offered him to play for the Algerian national football team . But in the hope of being appointed to the French national team, he initially turned it down. In February 2007 he received another offer from the Algerians, which he accepted this time. He made his debut in the game against Libya that same month .
