Hamid Reza Torabi

Hamid Reza Torabi ( Persian دکتر حمید رضا ترابی; * 1973 in Rudsar ) is an Iranian clergyman with the religious title Hodschatoleslam . From 2013 to 2019 he was director of the “Islamic Academy Germany” in Hamburg .

Life

Hamidreza Torabi graduated from high school in 1991 with a major in mathematics and physics in his hometown on the Caspian Sea. He then went to the holy city of Qom to study Islamic theology . After an above-average completion of the basic studies and the second level at the Islamic Theological University (corresponds to the diploma degree), he completed the third level (corresponds to the master’s degree) in 2002. In 2007 he did his doctorate at the Islamic Theological University. Theological University and with distinction reached the fourth and highest academic level that can be awarded at the Islamic Theological University. Since then he has supervised doctoral theses at various colleges and universities in Qom. In addition, until he emigrated to Germany, he lectured in Islamic law, norms, logic and philosophy at the Islamic Theological University in Qum, the Al-Mustafa University and the State University of Ghom. In 2011 he received from Ayatollah Sayyid Mohammadreza Modarresi the confirmation of ijschtihad, the ability to independently extract theological judgments.

He is also a founding member of the Scientific Research Institute for Religion and Ethics (1999), founder and director of the Yaran Sabz Mo'ud Cultural Institute (2007), member of the Council of the Parto Thaqalain Institute (2009) and founder of the Ayatollah Bahjat Islamic Theological College in Qum ( 2012). From July 2013 to mid-2019 he headed the Islamische Akademie Deutschland eV (IAD) and founded the Islamic Theological University in Hamburg.

Torabi is the founder of the second theological school in Gilan and the first in Hamburg. He is also a founding member of the Scientific Research Institute for Religion and Ethics (1999), founder and director of the Yaran Sabz Mo'ud Cultural Institute (2007), member of the Council of the Parto Thaqalain Institute (2009) and founder of the Ayatollah Bahjat Islamic Theological College in Qum ( 2012).
