Hammarbyhöjden is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Hammarbyhöjden district of the same name . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 4,000 commuters get on here.

The station was put into operation on April 17, 1958, when the section of the Gröne linjen between Skärmarbrink – Hammarbyhöjden was inaugurated. Until November 19, 1958, it was also the terminus of the T17 line, from then on the trains drove over the newly built section to the Bagarmossen station . The station is between the Björkhagen and Skärmarbrink stations . It is about five kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
