Björkhagen is an above-ground station on the Stockholm subway . It is located in the Björkhagen district of the same name . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. 3,000 commuters get on here on a normal working day.
The station was put into operation on April 17, 1958, when the section of the Gröne linjen between Skärmarbrink – Hammarbyhöjden was inaugurated. The station is located between the Kärrtorp and Hammarbyhöjden stations . It is around 5.5 km to Stockholm Central Station .
