A brush (also hand brush , broom , Kehrbeselchen , sweeping wiper , push broom , Handeule , owl ) is a commodity to which the previously mixed with a broom by bends (also Sweeping ) matched waste (consisting of dirt and waste ) to the dustpan (also the Aufnehmer [North German], the dustpan, the cutter shovel ) is brought.

description

A hand broom consists of a short handle that is attached with a latch or merges into this. Bristles or horsehair are attached to the latch. The total length of the hand broom is usually about 30 cm.

The latch and handle can be made of wood , metal or plastic . The grip zone can be covered with plastic, coated with paint or provided with an attached metal part. The latch and handle can be made of different materials. Vegetable, animal or synthetic fibers are used for the bristles. There are also versions with thicker rubber bristles.

Drawing brush

A smaller form of hand broom is a drawing broom. It was originally developed for technical draftsmen who use it to wipe rubber residues off a drawing. You can also use it for dusting . The goat hair is so soft that surfaces are not attacked.
