The Neuthal hand machine embroidery is a Zurich memory institution. It is located between Bäretswil and Bauma in the canton of Zurich , embedded in the industrial culture of Neuthal , in the historic cotton magazine from 1870. Since June 2013, the exhibition has presented two of the last of almost 22,000 hand embroidery machines . A rich fund of embroidery patterns shows the changing fashion taste of the time and enables the production of embroidered handkerchiefs, serviettes, placemats, runners, writing cards and textile applications.
