Hani Fahs

Sheikh Seyyed Hani Fahs ( Arabic هاني فحص, DMG Hānī Faḥṣ ; * 1946 ; † September 18, 2014 ) was a Shiite clergyman in Lebanon and a critic of Hezbollah .

He was a member of the Supreme Shiite Council (المجلس الإسلامي الشيعي الأعلى) in Lebanon , founding member of the Arab Committee for Islamic-Christian Dialogue, composed of Sunnis , Shiites and Christians from the Arab world (اللجنة العربية للحوار الإسلامي - المسيحي / Arab Committee for the Islamic-Christian Dialogue) and the Permanent Committee for the Lebanese Dialogue.

In 2009 he was included in the list of the 500 Most Influential Muslims by the Prince al-Walid-bin-Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University and the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center of Jordan .

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( Engl. A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (Engl. "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... “) (October 13, 2007).
