Hank Davison Band is a country blues and blues rock band founded in 1990 .
history
Hank Davison, front man and namesake of the band, was born on May 12, 1957 in Munich . He has been active as a musician since 1967. In 1972 he joined his first band (Herz Ass junior). After this time he worked as a DJ, musician, actor, but also as a bricklayer's helper or as a waiter, bar waiter - which was just happening. During this time he has already played hundreds of concerts with his band and as a solo artist. In 1987 he founded the Hank Davison Band for the motorcyclist / biker scene. The bikers liked the earthy, hard style of the band and so the HDB became extremely successful with the "rockers". In the years 1992 - 2009 the Hank Davison Band was the hip live act at biker meetings, they shared the stage with musicians such as ZZ Top , Lynyrd Skynyrd , Meat Loaf , Jethro Tull , Molly Hatchet , Uriah Heep , Whitesnake , Steppenwolf or Mother's Finest . The large number of live performances contrasts with a small list of albums: Hard Way from 2005 as the only studio album by the Hank Davison Band and the live recordings Real Live (1995) and The Early Tapes (2000). In 2014 the double live album Session 010201 was released. In 2009 Hank broke up the band and has been unplugged as a solo musician ever since .
