Hanna Malewska
Hanna Malewska (born June 21, 1911 in Jordanowice near Grodzisk Mazowiecki ; † March 27, 1983 in Kraków , Malopolska ) was a Polish writer and publicist.
Life
Hanna Malewska was the daughter of a general . After finishing school, she studied history in Lublin and then worked as a secondary school teacher. She took part in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. After the Second World War she worked increasingly as a journalist and was editor-in-chief from 1957 to 1973 of the Catholic magazine Znak . She mainly wrote historical novels in which she dealt with topics from antiquity and the Middle Ages, whereby a Catholic basic orientation can be recognized in all of her works.
