Hannelore Lee-Jahnke
Hannelore Renate Lee-Jahnke (* 1945 in Bad Lauterberg ) is a Swiss linguist and translation scholar of German origin. She teaches as a university professor at the FTI (Faculté de Traduction et d'Interprétation) of the University of Geneva . Lee-Jahnke has been President of the Conférence Internationale Permanente d'Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes ( CIUTI ) since 2006 .
Education
After studying the Italian language, Lee-Jahnke obtained the diploma of the Italian language (Diploma di Lingua Italiana) in Perugia in 1966 . This was followed by a degree in translation studies in German, French and English at the University of Geneva, from which she graduated in 1969 with the Diplôme de Traducteur (translator's diploma). In 1972 she also received the translation diploma for the Italian language. This was followed by studying English and Italian philology as well as philosophy at the University of Geneva, which Lee-Jahnke graduated with a License ès Lettres. In 1982 Lee-Jahnke obtained his doctorate from the Paul Valéry University in Montpellier . The title of her doctoral thesis is DH Lawrence et la Psychanalyse .
Professional background
After several years of permanent employment, Hannelore Lee-Jahnke took up her position as a lecturer at the ETI (École de Traduction et d'Interpretation, since 2011: FTI - Faculté de Traduction et d'Interprétation) at the University of Geneva, which she still holds today. Hannelore Lee-Jahnke has been president of CIUTI since 2006 and chairwoman of the committee for training and qualification of translators of the Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs (FIT) since 2000 . In addition, Hannelore Lee-Jahnke was head of the ETI Geneva between 2008 and 2010. In addition to her academic work and teaching, Hannelore Lee-Jahnke works as a freelance translator and editor at the UN , among others .

Research priorities
Hannelore Lee-Jahnke's research focuses on teaching. It is particularly concerned with translation didactics and evaluation. A current project is an interdisciplinary research project with the Department of Neurolinguistics at the University of Geneva.
