Hannelore Schneider

Hannelore Schneider (* 1953 or 1954) is a German archivist and historian . She was director of the Meiningen State Archives from 1990 to 1995 and has been the head of the regional church archives of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eisenach since 2005 .

Life

Hannelore Schneider worked in the State Archives Meiningen and a doctorate on July 7, 1989 at the University of Jena to Dr. phil. The subject of her dissertation is Georg II von Sachsen-Meiningen (1826 to 1914). Basic positions, achievements and impact of his personality . Together with Alfred Erck and most recently with Axel Schneider, she devoted herself to the topic of her dissertation again in 1997 and 2014 in the form of two book publications.

With effect from June 30, 1990, Hannelore Schneider was appointed director of the Meiningen State Archives. She held this position until she left on November 13, 1995. In 2005 she took over the management of the regional church archive in Eisenach.
