Hannelore Weygand

Hannelore Weygand (born October 30, 1924 in Düsseldorf ; † December 18, 2017 ) was a German dressage rider.

At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , female riders took part in the Olympic Games for the first time. At the 1956 Olympic Games in Stockholm , three women competed for the German team in dressage with Liselott Linsenhoff , Hannelore Weygand and Anneliese Küppers . Hannelore Weygand, who won the rider championship in 1954, qualified with the horse chronicler . In Stockholm she rode the Trakehner stallion Perkunos because Chronicler had a forehand injury. She finished ninth in the individual ranking, the German team won the silver medal behind the Swedish team, ahead of the Swiss with equal points.

For this she received the silver bay leaf on January 21, 1957 .
