Hannes Stekl

Hannes Stekl (* 1944 ) is an Austrian historian .

Life

After graduating as Dr. phil. in Vienna ( basics, forms and expression of aristocratic lifestyle in Vormärz. On the history of the princely houses of Liechtenstein and Schwarzenberg ) 1969 and habilitation ( Austria's breeding and working houses 1671–1920. Institutions between welfare and penal execution ) there in 1978 he became professor for social affairs and Modern economic history at the Institute for Economic and Social History.
