Hanno Brühl
Hanno Brühl (born February 19, 1937 in São Paulo , Brazil ; † October 5, 2010 in Cologne ) was a German television director .
Life
Brühl came to Germany with his parents as a child. After graduating from high school, he studied theater studies. He initially worked as an assistant director at the theater and as an editor in the feature / documentation area for WDR . From 1964 he was a freelance director and author, and from 1975 to 2002 he was a permanent director at WDR. As a television reporter and documentary filmmaker, Brühl made numerous short and experimental films, reports and many television films. Since 1990 he has directed a number of youth films by various authors.
He was the father of the actor Daniel Brühl , who took on the lead role in Hin und weg .
Hanno Brühl was buried in the Melaten cemetery in Cologne (hall 55).
