The RLE International Group (spelling: RLE INTERNATIONAL) is a company that provides development, technology and consulting services for the international mobility, service and wind industries. RLE International has more than 1000 employees at locations in Europe, North America and Asia.
history
In 1985 Rupa & Laufenberg GmbH was founded with a focus on engineering and construction services, which was renamed in 1989 to PLE Engineering GmbH, with a focus on engineering services and personnel leasing. In 1992 Tecosim GmbH was founded with a focus on Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and expanded the range of services at Rupa & Laufenberg to include body development and deep draw engineering. In 1998 these companies merged to form the RLE International Group, and in 2004 Tecosim GmbH left the RLE International Group.
In 2005, the company expanded to include RLE nova, which is considered to be "... a carrier of innovation and a sustainable business model". This business area deals with renewable energies and bionics . In 2009 RLE International acquired 51% of the shares in PE Concepts GmbH (wind energy) and integrated casolute GmbH into the group. On April 17, 2010 the EZE (Development Center for Renewable Energies) opened in Overath, which works in cooperation with PE Concepts on the development of small wind turbines.
With the establishment of the RLE Invision division in the 4th quarter of 2012, the RLE International Group offers services in the fields of agricultural engineering, plant construction, automotive, electrical engineering, energy, mechanical and special machine construction, medical, transportation and process engineering.
On October 31, 2014, the RLE International Group presented its new logo. With the claim “30 years of engineering excellence. Worldwide. ”Is the start of the 2015 anniversary year.
On August 1st, 2017 takeover of large parts of the insolvent Kontec company based in Korntal-Münchingen.
