Hannu Tihinen (born July 1, 1976 in Keminmaa , Finland ) is a former Finnish football player .

Tihinen has won five championships in three different countries, a cup trophy in two countries and has been the captain of almost all club teams during his career.

Career

Tihinen started playing soccer at KePS Kemi in Northern Finland. During his career he played for HJK, Viking Stavanger, West Ham United, RSC Anderlecht and FC Zurich. Tihinen ended his career in 2010 after studying international sports management and having been Technical Director of the Football Association of Finland since 2014.
