Hans-Dieter Hillmoth

Hans-Dieter Hillmoth (born January 3, 1953 in Münster ) is a German journalist and graduate engineer for communications technology. From April 1989 he was program director and since 1991 also managing director of Radio / Tele FFH - until his departure on June 30, 2019. Hillmoth remains associated with Radio / Tele FFH as a personally liable partner and has been chairman of the supervisory board of Frankfurter Volksbank since 2018 .

Life

After graduating from high school in Münster in 1971, Hillmoth studied electrical engineering / communications engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig . He completed his studies with a degree in engineering. Subsequently (1979/80) he volunteered at the Westfälische Nachrichten in Münster, for which he worked as a newspaper editor until 1983. From 1983 to 1986 Hillmoth worked as a television editor at Hessischer Rundfunk , from 1986 to 1989 as "Head of Radio" at the Munich newspaper publisher, including for the private broadcaster Radio Charivari .

On April 1, 1989, Hillmoth was the first employee of Radio / Tele FFH. He built up the channels HIT RADIO FFH , planet radio and harmony.fm . During his tenure, FFH has been the market leader in Hesse based on the number of listeners since 1991 and the second largest private radio station in Germany. Since Radio FFH started broadcasting on November 15, 1989, Hillmoth gave all employees Christmas Eve free every year and moderated the program "Hessian Christmas" (5 pm to midnight). Since 2004 Hillmoth has been the sole managing director of Radio / Tele FFH.

Hans-Dieter Hillmoth is a member of the supervisory board of the German Press Agency, was chairman of the supervisory board of Radio Marketing Service (RMS), deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the collecting society VG Media , managing director of RTL Hessen Licensee GmbH and a member of the overall board and radio board of “Vaunet - Association of private media "(formerly VPRT ). For his work on the radio, he was awarded the Hessian Order of Merit by Hesse's Prime Minister Bouffier in 2019.

Hillmoth, a member of the Supervisory Board of Frankfurter Volksbank since 2012, has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board since April 2018. Since 2019 he has been chairman of the board of the Förderverein Saalburg eV

Volunteering

Hans-Dieter Hillmoth belongs to the Frankfurt Society, is a member of the Rotary Club Bad Homburg-Kurpark, the Kassel Advisory Board and the Advisory Board of the Bad Vilbel Castle Festival .

Private life

Hillmoth is married to Ursula Hillmoth.
