Hans-Erich Halberstadt

Hans-Erich Halberstadt is a lyric tenor , presenter and audio book speaker and has lived in Kaiserslautern for many years .

After studying singing with Ewald Böhmer at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden and with Leni Neuenschwander at the University of Music and Theater in Mannheim, he devoted himself to concert and oratorio singing as a lyric tenor and performed as a lieder singer. He went on concert tours and sang in numerous radio, television and record studios in Germany and abroad. In 1968 he made recordings of songs by Franz Schubert on Radio Istanbul . Emmerich Smola engaged him repeatedly for productions with the SWR radio orchestra . He also acted as a moderator in radio productions.

Halberstadt sings classical songs, German folk songs, international folklore and songs by the Swedish rococo poet Carl Michael Bellman . This resulted in 15 sound carriers. He dedicates a large part of his work to Robert Stolz . At the invitation of the Austrian embassy in Washington he went on a concert tour in the USA for the composer's 120th birthday and was awarded the certificate of honor by the International Robert Stolz Society.

For some time now, Hans-Erich Halberstadt has been reading works by the Andalusian poet Federico García Lorca , Wilhelm Buschs and Eugen Roths .
