Hans-Günter Mertens

Hans-Günter Mertens (born May 19, 1950 in Essen ) is a Hamburg politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Mertens is a trained banker and certified business economist. Studies at the HWP (32nd line) with the degree of Dipl.-Sozialwirt. He worked for many years as a research assistant , freelance from mid-1995 and retired at the beginning of 2018.

Mertens was a member of the SPD. From 1991 to 1997 he was a member of the Hamburg citizenship and for his parliamentary group he was, among other things, in the urban development and construction committee, as well as in the committee for the interior and for the public service.
