Hans-Günther Pölitz

Hans-Günther Pölitz (born January 26, 1952 in Waldheim ) is a German cabaret artist and founder of the “ Magdeburger Zwickmühle ” cabaret .

Pölitz started 1972–1982 with the student cabaret “Junge Dornen” at the PH Zwickau and then went to the “ Herkuleskeule ” in Dresden from 1982 to 1984 during his acting training . He then moved to Magdeburg, where he was an author and director for the cabaret “Zange” from 1982 to 1989 and from 1984 to 1993 cabaret artist and director of the “Kugelblitzen”. 1994–1995 Pölitz was an author and cabaret artist for the " Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft ". In 1996 he founded his own cabaret with the “ Magdeburger Zwickmühle ”, where Pölitz is both an author and artistic director.

Radio and television

Since 1996, Hans-Günther Pölitz has been writing a weekly radio column for mdr1-Radio Saxony-Anhalt , at the “Pölitz Breakfast” he explains the events of the week to his “Muttilein”. From 1999 he appeared four times a year live from the “Magdeburger Zwickmühle” in the cabaret show “Die 3 von der Zankstelle” with Marion Bach and Rainer Basedow on mdr television . Awards

In 1990 he received a cabaret award from the broadcasters ARD, GDR 1, SRG, ORF - " Salzburg Bull ", followed in 1992 by a "Golden Kiebitz" from the cabaret " Die Kiebitzensteiner " in Halle . In 1993 he was named Magdeburg of the Year . In 1999 Pölitz received the East German Cabaret Prize in the Ensemble category for the program “We survived” as part of the Leipzig laughing fair and the 1999 star of the Munich evening newspaper . In 2000 he received the Reinheimer Satirelöwen and in 2001 the prize of the Leipziger Lachmesse , the Leipziger Löwenzahn. In 2003 Pölitz received the Swiss “Cornichon” cabaret award and in 2004 a cabaret award from the city of Bernburg : “Till 2004”.

Hans-Günther Pölitz is married to Regina Pölitz and has a daughter, Tonja Pölitz, a journalist.
