Hans-Georg Müller-Hanssen

Hans-Georg Müller-Hanssen (born May 5, 1908 in Schwenningen am Neckar , † June 26, 1998 in Bremen ) was a German painter and graphic artist .

biography

Müller attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith from 1922 to 1925. Then he attended a trade school. He then worked in a meter factory and in 1939 was assigned to the AG Weser , later to Borgward in Bremen and then to the Schichau works in Danzig . In 1944 he was called up for the Volkssturm . Until 1947 he was in British captivity.

During the Second World War he took courses at the Nordic Art Academy in Bremen. He lived in Bremerhaven since 1949 and married the daughter of the Geestemünder building contractor Hanssen here. He now took the name Müller-Hanssen. He made trips to Norway and England and also lived in Schwenningen in the summer months. He painted portraits , landscapes and oil paintings and created views of Bremen, church windows and graphics.
