Hans-Georg Thiemt

Hans-Georg Thiemt (born June 24, 1924 in Berlin - Neukölln ; † 1999 ) was a German author and director who mainly worked for television.

Life

Thiemt began his career in 1942 as a volunteer at Tobis-Film . During the Second World War he was a film reporter and from 1948 assistant director to Wolfgang Staudte . From 1956 he made his first independent short films and worked as a writer and director of commercials until 1962. In the mid-1970s he lived in Idar-Oberstein. He has directed such popular TV series as Percy Stuart , Commissioner Brahm , John Klings Abenteuer and Cliff Dexter and, as a writer, was significantly involved in television successes such as Der Kurier der Kaiserin and Gesucht is . He often worked as an author with Hans Dieter Schreeb .
