Hans-Jürgen Brunner (born February 2, 1965 in Herrieden ) is a former German soccer player and coach. He played 87 games (3 goals) in the Bundesliga and 137 games (6 goals) in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Brunner began his football career with SG Herrieden and joined the A-Juniors of 1. FC Nürnberg in 1982 . From 1983 he belonged to the second team of the club and then played in the first team from 1984 to 1989. At the beginning of 1990 he moved to Alemannia Aachen and from there in the same year to Switzerland for FC Wettingen . After the winter break of the 1991/1992 season, he played for TSV 1860 Munich . He was employed by VfL Wolfsburg from 1992 to 1995 and moved from there to SG Wattenscheid 09 , for which he was active until 1996. At SpVgg Ansbach 09 he ended his career as a player in 2002 and worked there as a coach in 2004/2005 and 2009/2010.
