Hans-Jürgen Pesch

Hans-Jürgen Pesch (born June 13, 1935 in Halle (Saale) , † June 24, 2010 ) was a German physician.

Career

After studying medicine in Kiel , Freiburg and Erlangen , he came to the Pathological-Anatomical Institute of the University of Erlangen on February 1, 1967. There he completed his habilitation and was appointed associate professor in 1978.

His scientific work focused on connective and supporting tissue, tissue replacement, cancer prevention in the upper airways and swallowing passages, and later on environmental pathology.

From 1991 to 1995 he was Vice President and President of the German Society for Osteology , from 1993 also President of the German Society for Environmental and Human Toxicology .
