Hans-Jürgen Sarholz

Hans-Jürgen Sarholz (* 1956 in Bad Ems ) is a German historian , author and director of the museum and the Bad Ems city ​​archive .

Hans-Jürgen Sarholz completed training as a primary and secondary school teacher and then studied history and political science at the University of Mainz . Even before his doctorate in 1992 on the subject of Bad Ems from the ancien régime to industrialization , from 1750 to 1914 Sarholz published in the series Bad Emser Hefte on numerous topics about his hometown.

Since 1986, Sarholz has headed the museum and the city archive of Bad Ems, which he runs today (as of June 2015) together with a volunteer team. He is also involved in the Association for History, Monument and Landscape Conservation eV (VGDL).
