Hans-Jürgen Schuster

Hans-Jürgen Schuster (born May 1, 1951 in Reichenbach im Vogtland ) is a German politician ( FDP ). From 2009 to 2014 he was a member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

Schuster attended school from 1958 to 1970, which he completed with a high school diploma. He then did his military service in the medical service until 1973. He then completed a medical degree at the universities in Halle and Dresden until 1979. In 1980 he had received the state examination and the license to practice medicine and was employed as a medical assistant at the Plauen district hospital for ten years .

Schuster has been a specialist in urology since 1985 and received his doctorate in 1989 . From October 1989 to July 1991 he worked as a practice assistant in a urological practice in Munich and then became senior physician in the urological department in the Bad Wildungen city hospital. From August 1991 to the end of 1992 he worked as a urologist in his own practice in Münchberg . In December 1992 he opened his branch in Plauen.

From 1998 to 2002 Schuster was the chairman of the professional association of the Saxon urologists and since 1999 he has been a member of the chamber assembly of the State Medical Association of Saxony . Since 1999 he has also been a member of the finance committee of the State Medical Association and a member of the city council in Plauen.

Schuster is married and has two children.

Initially he was on the city council for the Free Voting Community Plauen until he became a member of the FDP in spring 2000 and has been on the city council for them ever since.

In September 2009 he moved into the Saxon state parliament, where he became the health policy spokesman for his parliamentary group. He was also a member of the Committee for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection . When the FDP left the state parliament in the state elections in Saxony in 2014 , he lost his mandate .
