Hans-Jürgen Ziemann

Hans-Jürgen Ziemann (* 1937 ) was President of the Bremen Finance Court from 1990 to 2002 . Since his retirement he has been working as a lawyer in Dötlingen .

biography

Ziemann initially worked as a judge at the local court , public prosecutor and then at the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen . This was followed by a job with the Senator for Justice. In 1988 he was appointed judge at the Finance Court in Bremen and its president in 1990. He retired in 2002 and was succeeded by Lutz Hoffmann . In addition to his judicial work, he also taught at the University of Public Administration in Bremen , where he was appointed professor.

Ziemann gained public attention in 2006 as a special investigator in the affair of the former managing director of the Bremen-Ost Clinic , Andreas Lindner. He was appointed as such by the Health Senator Karin Röpke and, after two months of research, submitted the report to the Senator in September 2006. According to his assessment, the state of Bremen could have suffered damage of up to 15 million euros due to Lindner's dubious management. On December 19, 2006, he presented the knowledge he had gained to the investigative committee to investigate damage to municipal hospitals through decisions by managing directors and the lack of control and failure of the Bremen citizens to control .
