The University of Public Administration Bremen (HfÖV Bremen) is a university of applied sciences for public administration and serves the training of civil servants of the higher careers , the further training of the police of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen as well as research for and about the police in the interdisciplinary institute for police and Security Research (IPoS).
Education
The main task of the HfÖV is teaching in the police enforcement service course. This comprises six semesters and is now designed as a Bachelor's degree. It combines the necessary study components with practical training components. Only candidates for police commissioners from the Bremen police and the Bremerhaven local police authority are permitted .
There are also two external courses:
- Dual degree in taxes and law in cooperation with the Hanseatic Chamber of Tax Advisors in Bremen
- Risk and safety management in cooperation with the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences
