Hans-Joachim Aminde

Hans-Joachim Aminde (born July 5, 1936 in Königsberg , Prussia ) is a German architect , urban planner and university professor .

Life

Aminde studied at the Technical University of Berlin from 1955 to 1962 and completed his studies with a degree in architecture; important teachers: Willy Kreuer and Hans Scharoun . After winning competitions, Aminde worked as a freelance architect for three years.

From 1965 he was a research assistant at the Institute for University Construction at the University of Stuttgart ( Horst Linde ) with the research focus: Basics of urban university planning: University land requirements, micro-location criteria for new universities, land-use planning in the university area, typology of university building types, elements of a university region. Aminde received his doctorate from the University of Stuttgart in 1971. From 1973 he was Scientific Councilor at the University of Stuttgart and in 1974 was appointed Professor for University Planning and Design in the Faculty for Local, Regional and State Planning. From 1986 to 2002 he was a professor specializing in urban planning and design at the Institute for Public Buildings at the University of Stuttgart's Faculty of Architecture.

In 1986 he was a visiting professor for university planning at the USP State University. from Sao Paulo , Brazil and a visiting professorship in public space design in 1992 with a doctoral course at the Catholic Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Memberships and prices

Member of the German Academy for Urban Development and Regional Planning DASL, member of the Berlin Chamber of Architects and the Berlin AIV Architects and Engineers Association.

1963 Schinkel Prize building construction for the reorganization of Mehringplatz in Berlin.
