Hans-Joachim Hof (born September 16, 1975 in Aalen ) is a German computer scientist and professor at the Technical University of Ingolstadt and the University of Applied Sciences in Munich .

Life

Hof attended the Kopernikus-Gymnasium Wasseralfingen and graduated in 1995 with the Abitur .

He studied computer science at the University of Karlsruhe . His dissertation dealt with security in sensor networks . He obtained his doctorate in engineering at the Institute for Telematics at the University of Karlsruhe . Hans-Joachim Hof ​​then worked as a research scientist in the Corporate Technology research center at Siemens AG . Hof has been a professor at the Munich University of Applied Sciences since 2011 and professor at the Technical University of Ingolstadt since 2016. Since October 2019 Hof has been Vice President of the Technical University of Ingolstadt for the "University Expansion and Special Tasks" division. He heads the research groups MuSe - Munich IT Security Research Group and INS Security-Ingolstadt Research Group Applied IT Security .
