Hans-Joachim Maass

Hans-Joachim Maass (born February 8, 1937 in Gothenburg ; † February 9, 2012 in Neumünster ) was a German translator.

In addition to his work as a translator, he was an editor at the Hamburg publishing house Hoffmann & Campe and for a long time editor of the book series of the magazine stern . Maass has numerous works by a. of crime fiction has been translated from English and Swedish, including novels by Michael Crichton , Don Winslow , Sean Rowe and Sjöwall / Wahlöö . He has also translated works by August Strindberg , Per Olov Enquist , Irvin D. Yalom and Ingmar Bergman into German.
