Hans-Joachim Neubauer

Hans-Joachim Neubauer (* 1960 in Neuss ) is a German literary scholar and journalist .

Life

Neubauer studied German and comparative literature at the Free University of Berlin and in Paris. In 1993 he was at the Center for Antisemitism Research with the dissertation Jewish figures. Drama and theater in the 19th century for Dr. phil. doctorate , habilitation and took over a private lectureship for new German philology and general literature at the Free University of Berlin. He was also a Fellow of the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme Foundation in Paris from 1995 to 1996 and a scholarship from the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 1996 to 1998 . He later became a freelancer for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , from 2002 culture editor for the Rheinischer Merkur in Berlin; since 2010 Christ and Welt of the weekly newspaper Die Zeit . He is currently also an honorary professor at the University of Film and Television “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam and visiting professor at the Berlin University of the Arts (2013). In March 2015 he said goodbye to the editorial team of "Christ und Welt" in order to take up a full professorship at the Konrad Wolf University on April 1st.
