Hans-Joachim Werner (philosopher)

Hans-Joachim Werner (* 1940 in Düsseldorf ) is a German philosopher.

Werner studied philosophy, education and German at the Universities of Cologne and Freiburg i. Br. 1967 he was awarded a doctorate with a thesis on Thomas von Aquin and Hegel. phil. PhD . In 1972 he completed his habilitation at the University of Freiburg i. Br. With an investigation into Johannes Duns Scotus . From 1972 he was a professor at the Karlsruhe University of Education , where he became head of the Institute for Philosophy, Theology and Hodegetics .
