Hans-Otto Holzner

Hans-Otto Holzner (born July 6, 1906 in Schweinfurt , † October 8, 1986 in Würzburg ) was a German publisher.

Career

Holzner was born as the son of a train driver. On June 1, 1927, he founded the Bücherstube Am Hohen Tor publishing house in Tilsit , which he renamed Holzner-Verlag in May 1938. The publishing house specialized in youth publications, militaria and East German folklore. In addition to the parent company, he set up branches in Riga, Braunsberg and Leipzig. After the Second World War he continued the publishing house in Würzburg.
