Hans-Peter Scherrer

Hans-Peter Scherrer (born November 20, 1929 in Berlin ; † July 12, 2017 ) was a German publishing manager.

Life

Hans-Peter Scherrer joined Axel Springer Verlag in 1949 and completed an apprenticeship as a publishing clerk. Among other things, he was managing director of Ullstein Verlag and, most recently, as a member of the Springer board, was responsible for the Group's advertising and magazine business. In 1991, Peter Tamm's confidante retired; Günter Wille followed him.

Scherrer was involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land . In 1981 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien de Fürstenberg and invested in the Augsburg Cathedral on May 23, 1981 by Bishop Franz Hengsbach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . Most recently he was Komtur mit Stern (Grand Officer) of the Papal Laity Order. Scherrer had been a member of the Catholic Student Union Bavaria Berlin in the CV since 1950 .

He was married to Elisabeth born in 1956. Fruit; The marriage resulted in three girls and two boys.
