Hans-Theo Peschkes (born March 20, 1947 in Bocholt ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Peschkes is married and has four children. Until he moved into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2005, he worked as a tax officer. Since 2013 he has been chairman of the Borussia Bocholt sports club .

Political career

Hans-Theo Peschkes has been a member of the SPD since 1969 and was chairman of the local association in Bocholt from 1983 to 1995, and has also been chairman of the city association there since 2001. Between 1975 and 1989 member of the Bocholt City Council, since 1984 also member of the district council of the Borken district . Since 1989 he has been deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group there. From 1989 to 2005 Hans-Theo Peschkes was also a member of the Landscape Assembly .

From 2005 to 2010 Peschkes was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia and sports policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group as well as a member of the budget and finance committee.
