Irmgard Heilmann Prize
The Irmgard Heilmann Prize ( Literature Prize of the Irmgard Heilmann Foundation ) is a literary prize awarded by the Hamburg Cultural Foundation . It was donated by the Hamburg author Irmgard Heilmann , who wanted to honor "the best new literary publication by a Hamburg author" in recent years.
The award is given at irregular intervals and is endowed with 7,500 euros, funded by the Irmgard Heilmann Foundation . Its purpose is to promote literature and literary life in Hamburg . An independent five-person jury decides on the award; an application is not possible.
